Kinomap Setup with FitSwitch

Connect Kinomap on your Peloton to your bike trainer metrics using FitSwitch Bridge for real-time watts and RPM tracking.

Requirements

  • FitSwitch installed on your Peloton
  • Kinomap installed via FitSwitch
  • FitSwitch Bridge app installed on your Android or iPhone — Watch the Bridge setup video

Step 1: Open FitSwitch Bridge and Connect

Launch the FitSwitch Bridge app on your phone. Connect to the FitSwitch service. This allows your phone to act as a bridge between Kinomap and your bike trainer metrics.

Step 2: Open Kinomap

On your Peloton, open the Kinomap app through FitSwitch.

Step 3: Sign In and Select Your Machine

Sign in to your Kinomap account. When prompted to connect your machine, select "Bike Trainer", then tap Next.

Step 4: Select Your Brand

On the brand selection screen, tap the "I can't find my brand" button.

Step 5: Launch Device Search

Tap the "Launch search" button to begin scanning for nearby devices.

Step 6: Allow Location Access

When prompted with "Allow Kinomap to access this device's location?", select "While using the app".

Step 7: Dismiss Location Service Popup

A "Location Service required" popup will appear. Simply tap the "Close" button to dismiss it.

Step 8: Connect to FitSwitch Bridge

From the list of detected devices, find and tap "(FTMS) FITSWITCH BRIDGE" to connect.

Step 9: Confirm Connection

Once connected, you should see the connection status along with live watts and RPM data while pedaling. Tap Next to continue with your account setup.

Tips

  • Bridge not showing up? Make sure FitSwitch Bridge is running on your phone and connected to the FitSwitch service before launching the device search in Kinomap.
  • No watts or RPM? Try pedaling while on the connection screen — metrics only appear when the bike detects movement.
  • Connection drops? Ensure your phone is nearby and Bluetooth is enabled.
